Background

Dr. Sergey Turchin was born in little town at
the foothills of Carpathian Mountains in the
Republic of Ukraine (Former Soviet Union). In
1990, at age of 14, he moved to Cincinnati,
Ohio together with his family. Dr. Turchin
moved to Florida in 2002, and currently lives
and practice medicine in Palm Coast.

Education

Dr. Turchin attended Walnut Hills High School
in Cincinnati.

After graduating in 1994, he studied
Biomedical Engineering at Case Western
Reserve University and Chemical Engineering
at University of Cincinnati. In 1998, Dr Turchin
entered University of Cincinnati, College of
Medicine, receiving a degree of Doctor of
Medicine in 2002.

In 2002, Dr Turchin accepted a position of
Internal Medicine Resident at the Mayo Clinic
in Jacksonville, Florida, completing the
residency in June of 2005.

Dr. Turchin became a Diplomat of American
Board of Internal Medicine in 2006
Research

In April of 2005 Dr. Turchin presented a talk
on "Poisonous Animals of Florida" at the
annual meeting of American College of
Physicians in Tampa, Florida.

In September of 2004, Dr Turchin presented
"Clinical Features of Mycobacterium Marinum
Infection" at World Congress of Internal
Medicine Annual Meeting in Granada, Spain

In June of 2004, Dr. Turchin's presentation
"Clinical Features of Mycobacterium Marinum
Infection" was displayed at the Annual Meeting
of European Society of Rheumatology in
Berlin, Germany

In June of 2004, Dr. Turchin presented " Water
Exposure Infections" at Mayo Clinic Clinical
Reviews and Primary Care Update 2004 at
Amelia Island.

In October of 2003, Dr. Turchin presented a
case of rare Acinar Cell carcinoma at Mayo
Clinic's Oncology Tumor Board

In March of 2002, Dr. Turchin gave a
presentation on "Delayed Onset Heparin
Induced Thrombocytopenia" at Annual Meeting
of American College of Physicians in Miami,
Florida
